Wishlist!

I saw this on the Williams Sonoma Catalog that came in the mail yesterday. This is the description:

From the French company renowned throughout Europe for baby food–related products, this compact countertop appliance makes it easy to prepare fresh, healthy meals for baby – from start to finish.

-A steamer, blender, warmer and defroster in one compact appliance.
-Steams vegetables, fruits, meat and fish in less than 15 minutes, preserving vitamins and flavors.
-Purees or blends foods to the desired consistency.
-Quickly reheats or defrosts precooked foods.
-The machine has no traceable amounts of BPA.
-Recipes included.

It looks fantastic but for $149...I wonder if there's anything out here similar, better and cheaper. It looks really cool though! Then again I have to figure out if I would actually make my own baby food or just buy the cute Gerber bottles:) Thoughts?

Nursery Colors!

So I'm not going with a giraffe theme in case you were wondering. I just like the colors in this collage. I did get the bottom right alphabet poster though and that's my inspiration for the color theme of the nursery...tangerine, gray with accents of blue! I didn't want to go with the traditional blue and white nor the green that most boy nurseries usually go for! I wanted something fresh + modern!

New Happenings!

video

It has been a crazy past month! Lots of new decisions and changes in our lives. We decided to truly and really start our own business. We've been wanting to do something like this for a long time but due to other job committments and prob. that procratination got the best of us, it's been delayed and prolonged. However, we recently decided that this is what we need to do and if not now, when? We're in the process of creating and launching new educational products. Once everything is set and stone, we will release it on our blog as well! It is a little scary to take the risk but at the same time, we are so excited and filled with optimism about our product. I've been private tutoring kids for a long time and have done lots of reserach into American public, charter and private schools. The curriculum, especially for elementary aged kids is horrible. It makes me worried about when I have to send my own kids to school. Hence our business! Anyways, more of that to come later!

In other news, we also found out that Baby Huang is a BOY! Tim was like "SWEET!" at the ultrasound. I guess it's every guy's dream to have a boy! I'm super excited too except for the fact that we now need a cool boy's names and boy's names are so difficult to think of! Well, at least for me! So if anyone has any suggestions, pray suggest galore! We did an ultrasound and got a DVD copy of it. The baby was stubborn as he had both arms over his face most of the time! Guess stubbornness will forever run in our family! We've been busy clearing out the garage first. We finally got shelves to put all our storage items in as well as a nice shoe rack for our shoes...well mainly my gazillion shoes....although I did throw away a bunch. We also labelled all of our storage totes so now it looks nice and it makes me happy:) The garage still needs more work, but at least we got the majority done. I also cleared out the room meant to be the nursery. It's about 75% done! Again, it feels good. However, this also means a nice big trip to Ikea as we need more bookshelves for our library area as well as a new baby dresser! I don't think Tim is too excited about all the fixing ups he'll have to take care of! :)

A Little Better!

So the morning sickness has now switched to "I'm hungry and MUST eat right away or I'm going to be real sick"! It's tough to make sure you don't overeat when you're constantly hungry!!! I suppose I should probably buy more fruit as well. I found the stroller, car seat, and crib that I want but won't get it till we know for sure if it's a boy or girl. In fact, we haven't even been in the mood for clearing the room for the nursery or much baby shopping. I suppose it's coz we don't know what baby is yet! I'm almost 17 weeks now so just about 3 more weeks before we find out. We can't wait! The house had been in a disaster movie for the whole 1st trimester! I finally did a HUGE spring cleaning or rather "Summer" cleaning the day before. It felt good to have the house spotless although my back was pretty sore after. But I felt like I got a good workout, which let's be honest, lazy me hasn't been working out much at all! No worries...I think I still look ok:) Lots of ppl. have asked if I get weird cravings. Strangely no, although I have a BIG aversion towards red meat and one particular chinese restaurant although the food there is fabulous. I think it's the smell. Weird!

Tim's been real busy with work. With the summer being over and all, there's lots of preparation for the new year. He's excited that yard work is now reduced to once every 3 weeks.

Not much else has been going on.... we'll keep everyone posted in about 3 weeks time. After that, I'm thinking there should be lots more postings with pics of new baby stuff and the nursery as well!!!

Our BIGGEST M.I.A. Excuse.....

So this time...we really have a GOOD excuse from being off and away from EVERYTHING...especially our blog. Well....I'm preggers and we're excited about it. 10 things I have to shout out about pregnancy:

1. Morning Sickness should be called Morning/Afternoon/Night Sickness...seriously does it ever end?

2. You may not be able to hold any food but you'll still gain weight....what??????

3. You're too sick to even think about shopping....now that's a wonder!!! But I'm sure Tim's happy about this one:)

4. You have all the excuse in the world to eat whatever you want...IF you can even think about eating...and yes I think about eating all the time even if I can't eat!!!!

5. Mountain Dew is HEAVEN!!!!

6. My dog still has no qualms about walking all over me!!!

7. If only A.C. was free.....

8. Why the heck are ultrasounds so fuzzy? :)

9. Thank goodness for Brick Oven and White Clam Sauce!!!!...every Friday....

10. Nicole Shum is freakin' acute at detecting pregnancies! There should be an award for people like her!!!

Me want one!!! NOW!!!

Work...

We've been so busy checking facebook and our friend's blogs that we forgot we had a blog as well:) No really, work has been crazy for the both of us. Tim has been traveling quite a bit for work and I've been busy with some projects. I recently created a facebook page and a blog for one of my work's entity - London Hill Jewelry. [londonhilljewelry.blogspot.com] Also took a bunch of pictures for the new catalog. Setting up for photoshoots can really take quite a bit of time. It took me forever to lay jewelry on my vase of sticks and twigs but the process was fun. You can check out some of the photos at capriciousphotography.blogspot.com.

Celebrity Apprentice

This should give you guys a hint that we are such Couch Potatoes that I'm actually blogging about Celebrity Apprentice. Truth is we do love our TV shows and almost anything to do with film...plus they plan events and market products on Apprentice which is what I absolutely LOVE to do! I get too into the show sometimes....always thinking how I would try to create the event or campaign if I were on the show...and yes...of course I would win right? lol! Anyways...this season's Apprentice was quite entertaining. I must say that I was so disappointed that Jesse wasn't one of the "helpers" in the finale. I bet anything he would have brought in tons of cash for the charity, especially when he did say he was sandbagging and saving his contact for a later time. Plus...he would have been a much better helper than say Clint Black who did absolutely nothing for the finale. As for the winner Joan Rivers...must say that I'm glad she won over the conniving Annie. Boy, do I hate ppl. for pretend to be angels and then stab you right in the back!!! Urrrgggg!!!! That's prob. my biggest pet peeve! Enough said....I think everyone gets that! And what about that event planner? Talk about unprofessionalism. Of course the person in charge of the project wants it done in a specific way that will help them win. Not only was that guy not willing to see her vision but he quit halfway! Wow!!! Of course he says that Joan Rivers was extremely hard to work with....but hasn't he worked with difficult clients before? To quit on National TV....that reflects so badly on his part! The best part of it was seeing the charities they did it for. Cool thing! I've always wished that I could have all the money in the world to just be involved in charities and causes!
Anyways....so much for my daily rant but hey at least I'm making better progress at blogging!:)
